Empowering Our Community
Supporting Youth and Young Adults
Through multiple programs, Emerging Unidos seeks to assist underserved and marginalized young people reach their definition of success.
Professional development, life skill building, mentoring, counseling, resource connection, support for furthering education, and much more make up the core of our programming.
Empoderarnos
We serve farmworkers through culturally sustaining, empowering resource distributions, internships, and other forms of support.
Idea Academia
A youth-led program providing life skill and educational workshops and cultural/identity exploration through SEL.
Multilingual Youth Certification
Proving Bilingual Literacy certifications, language courses, and work experience for youth.
Mentoring and Community Building
We provide mentoring for our QTPOC youth while building community around youth, their families, and those that are underserved within the community. We have found that the most comprehensive and sustainable service we can provide is through connecting to each other, building trust, and utilizing our resources as both an organization and people to better serve our community.
Job Exploration and Life Skill Development
Through community partnerships we are able to offer workshops and support centered around educational obtainment and financial assistance, employability skill development, life skills, cultural/identity exploration, and more. These workshops are currently offered to our youth through Idea Academia.
Resource Distributions and Cultural Sustainability
We make the intensive effort to provide requested resources to our community of QTPOC, Latine/o/a/x young people, families, and farmworkers in a culturally sustaining form. We supply tangible items such as clothing, hygiene products, food, etc. and connections to local resources such as OHP and SNAP sign ups, dental care, etc. We know first hand that the bare minimum is often given in a way that doesn’t serve the core of our communities. We seek to always provide culturally appropriate resources that encourage cultural sustainability.

Partnerships with community business and organizations are essential to our programming.
